Welcome to Baton Rouge!

Oh, that was a hard bur awesome weekend! We weren't at home the whole weekend, friday after school we directly left and went to a restaurant with my hostmum's mum and it wasn't a normal supper we ate this night. We ate Crawfish, it is a reall, really popular food here everybody love it and I can say I understand why, because even it is hard to eat it is really good. After that we spent the night at Host-Grandma's house, and the next day a 8 we left to go to Baton Rouge to go shopping, finally a shopping tour which is not in Alexandria even I really like the mall in Alexandria but you can't compar it with the Mall of Louisiana in Baton rouge, I really spent lots of money here, especially for clothes from Hollister and Abercrombie, but it is really cheaper here! After around 8 hours shopping we finally went to our hotel, Candance had already told us how good the hotel is, but i didn't expected something like that, itreally seemed to be very expensive. The next morning we ordered breakfast into our hotel room, perfect start in the day !

After the very good breakfast we went to friends I already had met a few weeks ago at Baby Bubba's Bithday Party and had a real american BBQ - yummy. Finally at 8 we were at home - I was just very,very tired so I just went bed.

Mardi Gras - a crazy and mudy weekend

Hey guys, this weekend was Mardi Gras, I know the most of you won't know what that is, even I don't know what we were celebrating haha, but it is nearly the same like our 'Karneval' in Germany, but the people are not dressed up like we are, they are just wearing crazy colors, in Louisiana they wear purple, yellow and green, because that are the colors of a special Sport team here in Louisiana, but I forgot what kinda sport it was, haha.

It was an awesome weekend, and we are out of school on Monday and Tuesday and all i gonna do is writing a 1800-word essay about the German-Wall, that is gonna be fun, haha.

German-Cooking Class

How is everything going over there? We cooked German today for supper: Schnitzel with potato pancake - yummy. As an dessert we ate something from Brazil i forgot the name, but it was goooood !

Homecoming dance was awesome, after we went eating in a pretty expensive restaurant we went to the dance, loud american music and drunk people made the night special ♥

This week was amazing! It was Homecoming week, we were dressed up every day... And on wednesday I finally got my new sister, she's so nice. On Friday We went to the Homecoming game, but I stop writing now, because it's easier to show show, have fun watching the pictures ! ♥

A hard and long day, but I am happy!

We couldn't go to Lafayette today to buy the dress I love :( So my Mum and me, we went to lots of other stores in Alec, after 3 stores, where were wunderful, but too expensive dresses. I was sad about never finding a dress, without any hope we went into the last store and the first dress I saw, I felt in love with again and the other dress was forgotten ♥ I couldn't take I picture while I was wearing the dress because there was no mirrow in the fitting room, because it looks a little bit different when it is worn...

I really love it and the color. The most important thing: My date loves it too, haha !

Because Saturday is homecoming it is spirit week at our school, today was Pyjama-Day.. Tomorrow is Sports day, Wednesday: Walkie Talkie (not sure if it is written in the right way :D ) thurstday: Twin-Day, that is going to be awesome, me and anna we've got nearly the dame hair so we gonna be twins... and Friday is black day... I am looking foreward the whole week! and Mariah is probably coming on wednesday... I am excited to meet her. Have a great night, see you ♥

About Guns, Birthday Parties, Dresses and other Stuff

Today I am here for three weeks and this weekend was awesome! We went on Baby Bubba's bithday Party and I met lots of people, who were really interested in the new German Girl. They just couldn't believe that we have no Walmart in German, haha. I rode a quod (I don't now if they call it like that in America, but I think you should know what I mean) and shot a gun, that was pretty cool! After the Party we went to Lafayette to buy a Homecoming dress and I found one but I didn't buy it, why? Don't know I thought I could buy it today in Alexandria, because we've got the same store here, but I was wrong. And I love this dress, so we have to drive to Lafayette again, to buy it :)

It is a pretty awesome feeling to hold a gun, which is bigger than yourself, but it was a freat experience..

 This is the dress I felt in love with. I really must have this dress, don't care how expensive it is ! Hope it is still at the store when we go there this week.

2 Weeks have passed in a flash

Today I am here for 2 weeks, but it doesn't fell like such a long time! I still love America, but sometimes there are situations, I just think 'Oh my godnes, Crazy Americans'  For example when my english teacher gives $ 3 to a boy in my English class for licking another boy's neck, haha.

The first day I came here, was really crazy. Because everything was strange, the language is really different as the language I learn in our English Class in Germany. The first week I was really insecure, I didn't know what to do, what is wrong or right. Living with a person I don't know was odd, but after one week it became normal, I really love Candance, how she is and how she treads me. Especially school was hard for me, finding new friends and getting connection in all my new classes isn't easy. I found one good friend, who introduces me to his friends, so I am on the best way, haha. I really like Micheal, we often hang out in school, and of course are the others talking, they say we're daiting and so on. But I don't care :)
Friday I was watched my first basketball game, my school team - Rapides Mustangs vs another schools' team, which name I can't remember, haha. Of course we won, 89:24 That is really good, I was told that our basketball team is good, but that good ? wow :) yesterday I was at the Alexandria mall, to look for a new phone, but I couldn't find one... 
I am wondering that I am not homesick yet, haha. Of course I miss my family and all my friends in Germany and sometime I would prefer being at home than here, but this is my home now for 5 months, sounds strange but it's true. I started using new words and speaking more fast, understanding the people now isn't that hard as at my first days... 
Tomorrow I am out of school, because it's Martin Luther King day. Also in Tuesday school is closed.. Tomorrow we're going to visit my mum's grandma and next week my brazil-sister will come, looking forwart to meet her.

My phone had a Pool Party

I'll alway remeber how I but my phone into the washer like it was yesterday, wait - it was yesterday, right. I am really not smart enough to check my pockets before I put my clothes into the washer, now it is broken. I put it into the oven for a few hours so the water can evaporate, but there is still water at the screen... So if anybody needs to text me, you only can text me on facebook. Hope me mobile will work again...


I love Reese's pieces with Peanut Butter, it's a kind of Smartie there is just peanut butter inside instead of chocolate. Actually I don't like peanut butter, but it tastes so different here, just better. Haha...

10th day and it's cold!

Told you I gonna write in English now, even it is not perfect, haha. It is really cold here since Monday and today all schools are closed, because it is so cold and they are afraid that the roads become slippery. The people are not used to drive on slippery roads, so there would be a chaos, haha.  Maybe we'll get snow tonight, that would be amazing, because there wasn't any snow for a looooong time in Alexandria and now I am here and we'll maybe get snow!
My English becomes better and better and also school becomes more fun when you've started to make new friends. Tonight my Mum and me we'll go to church, I am looking forward to the rest of the day.
Tomorrow we are on a class trip with the English II class, that'll be fun! :)
