Halftime, photo shoot !

I cannot believe it, halftime? No, i really don't wanna go home, not now and not in 70 days! Everything here is so perfect and i cannot think about it. Even when i miss my friends and family in Germany so much, thinking about leaving here and to know i wont see the most of the people again makes me really sad. I just found new friends, I found a new sister and a new mum!
I will just try to have the time of my life and to spend every free second with all these wonderful people here...

Hey I am so sorry for not writing anything for such a long time! I had a fantastic time the last few weeks. I went to lots of parties, Mariah and me we almost spend every day somewhere and we were really buissy because the grading period will end this week and the act test is on Tuesday. 
So just to let you know I am fine and I am still in love with this country and with all the people here.

2 months

Heeeey!

Yesterday we boiled some crawfish, and it was really really fun, haha the whole Family met to eat it all together, took some pictures for you! 

Cooking some Crawfish, it is a kinda small lobster and it is really popular in Lousiana, everybody freaks out when they figure out that you'll have crawfish this weekend.

 Look what we've found between the Crafish, Kady saved this poor turtle to be boiled.

  Finally after a few hours preparing the Crawfish, they could start eating it, I didn't eat, because I don't like them sooo much, but that's how the most popular dish in Louisiana looks like!

Feel like never wanna go home !

Awesome!

I am feeling like home, finally. I fell in love with this country, since a couple of days everything is just perfect, even the bus ride in the morning makes me happy. Don't know how to describe this feeling it is just awesome, it makes me sad when i am thinking about going home, I just can't imagine not being with all this wonderful people, can't imagine to say 'goodbye' forever, but don't wanna think about it, it makes me sad.

I haven't written since almost two weeks, instead of writing down what happened I will show you:

I love going to the Baseball games and not just because the uniforms are hot! Although it was so coldit was very much fun!!

Today was a good day, I love it here! i love how spontaneously the people here are! Just jumped in a friend's car and drove over the highway, went to starbucks, after that to the mall and back to school watched a game, that is America! I really wish I could stay longer, there are just 3 months left, that is so sad. But I've already found a new home and friends, I will never forget in my life.

I got I've started talking with slang, and that is not good, haha because the slang here is awful und nobody will understand me when i am back in Germany..  But it is good, that i am able to understand everything they say now, 'cause i remember the first weeks I was here and I couldn't understand anything, haha.. 

I am so excited I just need my physical and then i finally can run track! I gonna run Relay, oh and I've already seen the track team, and i am gonna be the onliest one who is white, don't care I probably gonna be the slowest one too, but haha i will have fun! 

I wanna send a big kiss to all my friends in Germany, I love y'all so much! ♥

Welcome to Baton Rouge!

Oh, that was a hard bur awesome weekend! We weren't at home the whole weekend, friday after school we directly left and went to a restaurant with my hostmum's mum and it wasn't a normal supper we ate this night. We ate Crawfish, it is a reall, really popular food here everybody love it and I can say I understand why, because even it is hard to eat it is really good. After that we spent the night at Host-Grandma's house, and the next day a 8 we left to go to Baton Rouge to go shopping, finally a shopping tour which is not in Alexandria even I really like the mall in Alexandria but you can't compar it with the Mall of Louisiana in Baton rouge, I really spent lots of money here, especially for clothes from Hollister and Abercrombie, but it is really cheaper here! After around 8 hours shopping we finally went to our hotel, Candance had already told us how good the hotel is, but i didn't expected something like that, itreally seemed to be very expensive. The next morning we ordered breakfast into our hotel room, perfect start in the day !

After the very good breakfast we went to friends I already had met a few weeks ago at Baby Bubba's Bithday Party and had a real american BBQ - yummy. Finally at 8 we were at home - I was just very,very tired so I just went bed.

Mardi Gras - a crazy and mudy weekend

Hey guys, this weekend was Mardi Gras, I know the most of you won't know what that is, even I don't know what we were celebrating haha, but it is nearly the same like our 'Karneval' in Germany, but the people are not dressed up like we are, they are just wearing crazy colors, in Louisiana they wear purple, yellow and green, because that are the colors of a special Sport team here in Louisiana, but I forgot what kinda sport it was, haha.

It was an awesome weekend, and we are out of school on Monday and Tuesday and all i gonna do is writing a 1800-word essay about the German-Wall, that is gonna be fun, haha.

German-Cooking Class

How is everything going over there? We cooked German today for supper: Schnitzel with potato pancake - yummy. As an dessert we ate something from Brazil i forgot the name, but it was goooood !

Homecoming

Homecoming dance was awesome, after we went eating in a pretty expensive restaurant we went to the dance, loud american music and drunk people made the night special ♥

This week was amazing! It was Homecoming week, we were dressed up every day... And on wednesday I finally got my new sister, she's so nice. On Friday We went to the Homecoming game, but I stop writing now, because it's easier to show show, have fun watching the pictures ! ♥
